Self-Paced Lesson

Students will answer the question How Do You Know Something Is A Sculpture? by analyzing different sculptures from the Autry Museum's collection.  Students will make their own sculptures out of materials they have around the home or in nature.

Whole Class In-Person Learning: Scavenger hunt in classroom for two and three dimensional items, shapes, and materials. Jigsaw different sculptures and sculptural elements to groups. Groups share out. Teacher documents groups responses on elements of a sculpture. (Part 6: assign student groups an emotion. Part 7: do as a class to point out movement.)
