The Autry Museum of the American West Hosts its National Day of the Cowboy and Cowgirl Celebration
(June 14, 2024 - Los Angeles, CA)—HOWDY! Come on down to the Autry to celebrate National Day of the Cowboy and Cowgirl with extended museum hours and family-friendly activities for guests of all ages. Autry Members and kids get in for free!
With trick ropers and live music on the plaza, cowboy poetry in gallery, country line dancing lessons, film screenings and docent-led tours, there is something for everyone to enjoy on National Day of the Cowboy and Girl.
Autry members enjoy early access and a Member Cookout in the Corral (café) from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The Member Cookout includes hot dogs, chips, cookies, sliders, ice cream treats and non-alcoholic beverages. Make sure to reserve your spots before July 22 to enjoy this Autry Member benefit.
To end the day, stay for the Member Movie Night with Street Food Cinema’s screening of Back to the Future III. Enjoy a performance by Matt Axon before the screening at 7 p.m. on the Autry’s lawn.
The Autry Museum of the American West acknowledges the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples as the traditional land caretakers of Tovaangar (the Los Angeles basin and So. Channel Islands). We recognize that the Autry Museum and its campuses are located on the traditional lands of Gabrielino/Tongva peoples and we pay our respects to the Honuukvetam (Ancestors), ‘Ahiihirom (Elders) and ‘Eyoohiinkem (our relatives/relations) past, present and emerging.
