About the Event

Celebrate NATIONAL DAY OF THE COWBOY AND COWGIRL with family-friendly fun for guests of all ages. Enjoy trick ropers, cowboy poetry, live music, country line dancing lessons, a film screening, and docent-led tours. Autry members enjoy early access, free admission, and a Member Picnic.

  • Urban Saddles horse photo op and grooming workshop

9:30 a.m. | Early Access for Autry Members and Event sponsors 

11:30 a.m.−1:30 p.m. | Member Picnic (Garden and Backlot) 

  • Members enjoy a petting zoo, special activities for kids, and live music. Members may bring their own picnic or buy a lunch via food trucks. Complimentary lemonade and water will be provided. 

6 p.m.−10 p.m. Street Food Cinema presents Night at the Museum (Separate Registration Required)

  • Autry members enjoy a movie on the lawn as part of Street Food Cinema’s outdoor film series. Enjoy Night at the Museum film screening with special seating in the reserved section (bring your own blankets/chairs). Pre-show activities include food trucks, vendors, trivia, and a live Western music performance by Emily Rose and the Rounders at 7 p.m.
