Information for Artists

Festival Dates: June 10 & 11, 2023

2023 Artist Application

Applications are live until March 15, 2023, and you can apply at any time until that date. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis; you will hear back within 3 weeks of submitting your application and images. A nonrefundable application fee of $25 is due with the application.

Step 3: You will receive a confirmation email with a link to upload your completed application and images to Dropbox. The link will remain live until midnight on March 15, 2023.

Applying by mail? Download, complete, and save the application to your device. Print and mail it to the Autry with a check or money order for $25 payable to the Autry Museum. Include printed photographs, a photo CD or flash drive with your completed application. CDs and flash drives will not be returned.

Indian Arts and Craft Act

The American Indian Arts Marketplace at the Autry abides by the American Indian Arts and Craft Act of 1990. All artwork sold on the grounds of the American Indian Arts Marketplace is sold by the American Indian artist who has created the piece. All art must be the artist's original work. Artists must display work only in the mediums in which they were accepted.
 

California Seller's Permit

You are responsible for obtaining your own California Seller's Permit. You must have a valid California Seller's Permit on file in the festival office to set up your booth. If you have questions regarding the permit application contact the State of California Department of Tax and Fee Administration at 1.800.400.7115 or visit their website at http://www.cdtfa.ca.gov/taxes-and-fees/sutprograms.htm. Allow at least three (3) weeks for your permit to be processed and sent to you!
