A live podcast recording exploring culture, sovereignty, and storytelling through Indigenous voices. 

Join California Humanities for a powerful evening of storytelling, reflection, and connection at a special live recording of Reclaiming Our Voices: Voices of Indigenous Peoples of California. 

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, this live event brings together Indigenous leaders, artists, educators, and community voices to share perspectives that deepen our understanding of California—past, present, and future. 

What to Expect 

  • This live recording will explore:
  • Cultural continuity, creativity, and future-oriented thinking
  • Sovereignty as living practice
  • Intergenerational leadership and care
  • Current practices in land stewardship, language revitalization, and cultural economies 

The evening will feature: 

  • A live podcast conversation with special guests
  • Performances by singers from Tatavium, Tongva, Acjachamen, and Chumash tribes
  • Poetry, sound, and moments of reflection Intergenerational voices sharing lived experience and vision
