Join us on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month for our new music in the morning program! Twice a month The Autry will host a children’s music workshop presented by Tim Hancock

We will be offering two morning music classes:

  • Session 1: kids age 0 – 2.5
Exposure to music with singing and moving to a variety of music, action songs to exemplify beat and pitch
  • Session 2: kids age 2.5 - 5
Learning of the fundamentals of music with use of boomwhackers to play songs and a focus on basic music theory and terminology

These morning music workshops aim to demonstrate musical fundamentals such as rhythm, harmony, pitch, tempo, and dynamics through listening, singing, dancing, and playing actual musical instruments. This hands-on experience utilizes child-friendly tools such as color-coded charts and basic percussion instruments to ensure that even toddlers can participate in a meaningful and beneficial way.
