Teaching Tips for Different Learning Environments

Whole Class In-Person Learning: Break up the video into two to three lessons: Introduction and Absent from History (0-5:18), Artists (5:18-16:19), Sister’s Are Doin’ it for Themselves (16:19-17:31). For “Women Artists” and “Sister’s Are Doin’ it for Themselves,” teachers can assign students different women. Students watch the video clip, answer the questions, complete the activity and share with information and activity to the class.

Whole Class Distance Learning: Same as above but teachers assign groups different women, have them watch that part of the video, go to a breakout room, discuss the questions and come back to the class to share.
