Musical Mornings | Ages 0-3.5
Exposure to a variety of music by singing and moving, listening to action songs that exemplify beat and pitch. Learn the fundamentals of music using Boomwhackers percussion tubes to play songs.
Tim Hancock, the instructor, has over 16 years of experience in music education and e-learning. After teaching guitar and ukulele in the classroom, Tim joined Fender Musical Instruments Corporation in 2019. He has helped to create and implement Fender Play’s curriculum to several education programs including LAUSD, positively impacting students and teachers globally. To date, he has taught thousands of students of all ages and abilities, supporting them to progress through their playing journey.
Art with Amy | Ages 1-5 years
Join us in the Autry’s Family Play Space for our Art with Amy morning program! All activities are crafted to engage all five senses, creating comprehensive sensory experiences that stimulate both learning and enjoyment.
The philosophy at the heart of Icky Sticky Fun, an innovative organization co-founded by teacher Amy Ponce and Rosina Basi, is to inspire young minds and foster a lifelong passion for learning through the magic of playful, hands-on art experiences. Creative Movement | Ages 3-6 years
This creative movement class presented by Susanna Hostetter of the California Dance Institute introduces young children to the fundamentals of dance and self-expression through playful activities that develop coordination, rhythm, and spatial awareness. Using age-appropriate music, props, and imaginative themes, children will explore movement concepts such as speed, level, shape, and energy. This interactive experience fosters physical confidence, creativity, and joy in motion!
Susanna Hostetter is a dedicated dance educator with over 15 years of experience leading dance programs for children and youth. California Dance Institute's mission is to motivate children to develop a personal standard of excellence through the rigor and joy of dance.
