About the Compton Cowboys

Consisting of seven cowboys and one cowgirl, the crew works with horses to provide a positive influence on inner-city youth, combat negative and historically inaccurate narratives surrounding the city of Compton, and pay homage to Black-Americans in western and equine heritage.

About the Los Angeles Equestrian Center

The Los Angeles Equestrian Center is a one-of-a-kind venue nestled in the heart of Griffith Park that serves the diverse community of Greater Los Angeles with pride and dedication. From our wide variety of horse shows to our riding school & specialty trainers, you can come experience a taste of equestrian lifestyle at any level.

About the Los Angeles Equine Advisory Committee

The Los Angeles Equine Advisory Commitee (LAEAC) was formed by vote of the City Council in 2009. Each member is appointed by their respective member on the City Council and the Mayor. The purpose of the LAEAC is to work with City Departments to address equine issues in the city of Los Angeles.
