Two people stand at microphones sharing stories on stage, smiling and animated. In front of them, an attentive audience listens and laughs. The center features a "Strong Words: The Art of Storytelling" event logo.

About the Event

Join us for a dynamic storytelling salon that brings the exhibition Life, Liberty, and Los Angeles off the walls and onto the stage. This program celebrates the diverse voices, experiences, and perspectives that have shaped—and continue to shape—life in Los Angeles. Hear true, personal stories told live by local residents, artists, and community leaders, reflecting the struggles, triumphs, and everyday moments that connect to the themes of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Produced in collaboration with arts organization Strong Words, whose members tell their own stories in the exhibition, this event offers an intimate, immersive way to experience the city’s past and present, and to see the broader American story through the lens of Angelenos themselves.

Access to the exhibition Life, Liberty, and Los Angeles is included in your ticket and the gallery will be open between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
