King, Leon Russell, Michael Buble, Gladys Knight, Kenny Burrell, Cedar Walton, Horace Silver, and Ernie Watts), Nolan Shaheed (trumpeter with Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Diana Ross, and Phil Collins), drummer Judd Pillot (Emmy-winning director/showrunner/writer on the TV series Coach, Mad About You, and Just Shoot Me), and David Ross on bass (founder of the Jazz Salon).
About the California Art Club 116th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition:
This expansive showcase of more than 150 paintings and sculptures will be on view at the Autry Museum through April 10. The final collection spotlights today’s most exemplary works by both renowned and emerging artists. Founded in 1909, the California Art Club is one of the oldest, most respected art organizations in the country. For more than a century, it has been dedicated to preserving and promoting classical fine art traditions in the American West, serving as a vital platform for representational painting and sculpture.
