About the Event

City Stories: Then, Now, and Next 

Calling all curious homeschoolers! Cities are living stories shaped by the people who built them, the people who live in them, and the dreamers who will build what’s next. 

Join us on Thursday, November 5, from 10 AM – 1 PM at the Autry Museum of the American West for a day where your family gets to dig into all three chapters. 

What we’re building: 

  • The City of the Future—Grab some building blocks and design the skyline you wish existed. What will your city look like? 
  • Poetry From Your Hometown—Every city has a voice. Write a poem inspired by the place you call home. 
  • Stained Glass Art—Get hands-on creating colorful stained-glass pieces inspired by the cities we love. 
  • Helping Hands of LA—Explore one of our exhibitions on a hunt to discover the people who have helped others across Los Angeles. 

Activities are designed to welcome homeschoolers of all ages—bring the whole crew!
