Information for Artists

Festival Dates: June 7-8, 2025

The American Indian Arts Festival will take place on the grounds of the Autry Museum June 7-8, 2025.

The application deadline is February 10, 2025. Applications are considered on a rolling basis; you will receive an answer within 4 weeks after submitting a completed application including images of your current work. The application fee of $30 is nonrefundable.

Late applications will be considered on a space-available basis and are subject to a non-refundable late fee of $50 on top of the $30 application fee.

The Juried Competition entry deadline is 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025. More information about the Juried Competition can be found in the artist application.

Applying by mail? Download, complete, and save the application to your device. Print and mail it to the Autry with a check or money order for $30 payable to the Autry Museum. Include photographs of your work with your completed application.

Indian Arts and Craft Act

The American Indian Arts Marketplace at the Autry abides by the American Indian Arts and Craft Act of 1990. All artwork sold on the grounds of the American Indian Arts Marketplace is sold by the American Indian artist who has created the piece. All art must be the artist's original work.

California Seller's Permit

You are responsible for obtaining your own California Seller's Permit. You must have a valid California Seller's Permit on file in the festival office to set up your booth. If you have questions regarding the permit application contact the State of California Department of Tax and Fee Administration at 1.800.400.7115 or visit their website at http://www.cdtfa.ca.gov/taxes-and-fees/sutprograms.htm. Allow at least three (3) weeks for your permit to be processed and sent to you!
