The Autry Museum of the American West Presents 10th Annual Student Visual Arts Exhibition Opening
(March 30, 2026 Los Angeles, CA) – Join the Autry Museum of the American West as we celebrate the Autry Classroom Curators’ 10th Annual Student Visual Arts Exhibition. The Student Visual Arts Exhibition is held each spring, showcasing 100+ student artworks that explore a topic of relevance to the American West.
Since 2016, the Autry has presented artwork by students in grades 6 through 12 in response to a compelling theme. The 2026 Student Visual Arts Exhibition theme is "Visions of Humanity." Humanity means all people and things that make us human—our ideas, feelings, and actions. It is more than just people—humanity is the shared spirit, creativity, and compassion that connects us all. Each generation has added its voice to the ongoing story of the American West. Participate in art-making experiences, family activities, scavenger hunts, and more, all connected to this year’s theme.
Guests will enjoy: • 10 a.m.–4 p.m. | Themed scavenger hunt in galleries with prizes • 10 a.m.–2 p.m. o Live music by student DJs • 10 a.m.–1 p.m. o Silkscreen workshops o Drop-in art activities o Button making • 11 a.m.– 2 p.m. | Complimentary refreshments • 12 p.m. | Leadership Remarks and student artist awards • 1 p.m.–4 p.m. o Themed crafts and sensory play area o Creative movement and parachute games o Musical instrument play area
