The Autry Museum of the American West Announces its New Event Series, Autry After Hours

(October 24, 2024 - Los Angeles, CA)—Join the Autry on Thursday evenings as we open our doors at night for Autry After Hours! Explore the galleries, grab a drink and a bite to eat, and discover the diverse array of emerging and established artists, musicians, poets, writers and more who represent the varied and unique communities in and around Los Angeles. Grab your friends, families and neighbors and discover Autry After Hours! 

On October 24, enjoy live music and dancing in the plaza with Autry After Hours | Fall Music Nights. The incredible traditional country music group West of Texas will perform accompanied by two country line dancing and two-step lessons by Mike Bendavid from Mike’s Country Dancing. 

On November 21, join puppet designers from Rogue Artists Ensemble at Autry After Hours | Cowboy Elektra Puppet Experience as they develop prototypes of new puppet concepts for their upcoming production of Cowboy Elektra, a fusion of LA history and Greek mythology. 

On December 12, Meet HOPI R2, the galaxy’s first Indigenous Droid at Autry After Hours | HOPI R2. Artist Duane Koyawena and engineer Joe Mastroianni will discuss the challenges of building the droid and painting its Hopi cultural designs while demonstrating HOPI R2 in action.
