Updated June 11, 2020
Out of concern for the health and safety of our community, the Autry museum, store, and café will be temporarily closed to the public until further notice. While you may have heard that Los Angeles museums are allowed to reopen by a particular date, the Autry is setting its own, institution-specific reopen date, in order to assure adequate preparations for a safe and enjoyable visitor experience. We will announce our eventual reopening date as well as instructions and guidelines for visitors here as well as on our social media channels.
The closure also includes the Historic Southwest Museum Mt. Washington Campus. In keeping with guidelines from the State of California and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, all public programs, events, school tours, and docent-guided tours through July 31 have been canceled. For programs that have fees, refunds will be issued automatically.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Autry and sharing with you the stories of the American West in person once again. In the meantime, please explore all we have to digitally at The Autry Online.
Thank you for your understanding during this time. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or concerns.
A Message for Our Members
Thank you for your continued support during the temporary museum closure. To ensure that you maintain full use of your annual membership benefits, all current memberships will be extended for the number of months that the museum remains closed. This adjustment will be completed when our offices reopen.
Currently, we are able to process payments for online membership orders only. Membership cards and gift acknowledgments will be mailed as soon as our offices reopen; and all payments received by mail will be processed at that time. Thank you again for your support of the Autry.
