A person with short blonde hair in a black hat and dark blue fringe dress leans on a pool table with a cue stick. The setting has a rustic, cozy vibe with wooden elements and a soft golden glitter border.

About the Event

Join the Autry for happy hour! Enjoy live music and dancing on the plaza with performances by old-time country artist Rosy Nolan, and try an exclusive cocktail featured in the book Cowboy Cocktails by Andre Darlington.

With her cowgirl hat, platinum bob, and 1940s Western getups, Los Angeles-based artist Rosy Nolan looks like a throwback to the mid-century heyday of California honky-tonk legends such as Rose Maddox and Jean Shepard. But the San Francisco native honed her performance chops in riot-grrrl and post-punk indie bands across the US and the UK before finding a home in LA’s tight-knit old-time community. Now a confident bandleader and guitarist whose vulnerable songs and onstage charm have endeared her to audiences across Southern California and around the US, Nolan is in the vanguard of LA’s latest country music resurgence.
