Discover the museum from a whole new perspective, as we experience a Modular Sound Bath, then explore the galleries while seeing the world in different and more subtle ways.

Modular Sound Baths are meant to shake up long-held physical and mental tensions and focus on a fundamental human ability for insight and intuition. The steadiness of crystal singing bowls pairs beautifully with the varied arrangements available with Modular Synthesis, sometimes melding the frequencies seamlessly, and sometimes adding some texture to the relaxing hum of the bowls.

This immersive sound experience was inspired by our new exhibition Out of Site: Survey Science and the Hidden West, which considers the Western landscape as a place where the transformation of physical space involves both visualization and manipulation, where the connections between what can be physically seen and how it is visually represented are not always clear.
