Information for Artists

 

Artist Application

Artist deadline to apply is Friday, June 28, 2019. Artists can apply electronically or by mail. The application fee is $25 and is non refundable. There is no charge for Youth applications. Artist acceptance notifications will be sent August  5, 2019.

To apply and pay by mail download the application here, or a youth application here, and mail it to the address on the application along with a check or money order for the application fee and current images of your work.  Applications must be postmarked by Friday, June 28, 2019. Applications will not be processed without the application fee. Images may be submitted as printed photographs, on a photo CD or on a flash drive. Photographs, CDs and flash drives will not be returned.

To apply and pay electronically click here to begin the process for adult or youth applications. You will be directed to an application payment fee checkout page. Once your application fee has been processed you will receive an email containing a link to a fillable .pdf application form, and a second link to upload your application and digital images to a private DropBox location. These links will remain active through Friday, June 28, 2019. You can upload additional image files until that date.

Indian Arts and Craft Act

The American Indian Arts Marketplace at the Autry abides by the American Indian Arts and Craft Act of 1990. All artwork sold on the grounds of the American Indian Arts Marketplace is sold by the American Indian artist who has created the piece. All art must be the artist's original work. Artists must display work only in the mediums in which they were accepted.
 

California Seller's Permit

You are responsible for obtaining your own California Seller's Permit. You must have a valid California Seller's Permit on file in the festival office to set up your booth. If you have questions regarding the permit application contact the State of California Department of Tax and Fee Administration at 1.800.400.7115 or visit their website at http://www.cdtfa.ca.gov/taxes-and-fees/sutprograms.htm. Allow at least three (3) weeks for your permit to be processed and sent to you!
