Tours

The Autry National Center offers two different types of tours on the weekends. Our Saturday, Docent led tours offer a general overview of the museum and are appropriate for adults and families with older children, while our Sunday Museum Teacher tours focus on specific themes and are appropriate for all ages.

Weekend Docent Led Tours

Our trained docent corps offers detailed tours of the museum’s permanent collections on the following:

• Every Saturday at 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.
• Every 3rd, 4th and 5th Sunday of the month at 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.

On holidays that fall on Mondays, there will be two docent tours: one at 12:00 p.m. and one at 2:00 p.m. This is contingent upon the museum being officially open on these holidays.

Sunday Museum Teacher Tours

Museum teachers will offer tours of our permanent galleries as well as some of our hands-on collection. This is an exciting tour appropriate for children and families as well as other museum visitors. Offered the first two Sundays of the month at 1pm.

Enrich your experience at the museum with a personal audio tour. You can get an audio tour player at our Visitor Services desk, or download tours onto your own mp3 player.
