Ways to Support the Autry
Gifts from members and friends of the Autry Museum of the American West help provide important funding for the Autry's world-class exhibitions and cultural events, dynamic educational programs, expanding permanent collection, and conservation efforts.
Your commitment, interest, and involvement are essential to the ongoing success and growth of the Autry.
Donations made to the Annual Fund are directed to groundbreaking exhibitions, dynamic educational programming, and ongoing collections conservation. But that’s not all! Funds also support anything you can think of—from the staff members that make sure your visit is fun, to the exhibitions and objects you see while visiting, to the events and programs you attend. The Annual Fund is especially crucial because donations to it are not limited to particular areas and can therefore serve as a lifesaver for whatever needs support. You can make a gift in honor or in memory of a special person or on the occasion of a special event (birthday, anniversary, or wedding) through the Autry’s Tribute program.
Gifts of Cash
Cash gifts are the simplest way to maximize the impact of your support for the Autry. Checks, credit card donations, and automatic drafts from a checking account are recognized as cash gifts and are fully tax deductible. You can send a check to the address below, download a form to send in for an automatic draft, or make an online contribution by using a credit card.
If you have long-term appreciated stocks or bonds that you have held for a year or more, consider giving them directly to the Autry, as you may receive tax benefits.

You can support the Autry with gifts of art and artifacts, as well as Gala silent auction items (gift certificates, food, and wine), services such as advertising or printing, tangible items such as office furniture and computer equipment, and vehicles.

By notifying the Autry of your planned gift, you will become a member of the Autry's Western Heritage Society, which was created to honor and thank our friends who have included the Autry in their giving plans.
The Autry's endowment was created to provide a permanent source of operating income for the institution. The principal is held in perpetuity and the income generated from unrestricted endowment gifts is used to support exhibitions, programs, and conservation efforts.
