Miss America

Artwork Image:

Woven through the fabric of our national heritage, Native American myths, and legends, and gliding over the magnificent wilderness is the bald eagle. One of the very few, along with the gray whale, to make it back from the Endangered Species Act signed in 1976, our national emblem survived decades of hunting, poisoning, and loss of habitat. The bald eagle has now been upgraded to “threatened.” This beautiful female has paused for a rest, perhaps to gather nesting materials, or to fly away and add an inspiring vision over our spacious skies.
