About the Event
LACMA CEO and Wallis Annenberg Director Michael Govan and W. Richard West, Jr., president and CEO of the Autry Museum of the American West, announce an innovative partnership between the two institutions. Inspired by both museums’ renowned and complementary collections—spanning from the ancient to the contemporary, and including art of the ancient Americas at LACMA and the Autry’s Native North American cultural materials—the agreement will facilitate collections sharing, curatorial collaborations, scholarly research, and thoughtful programming. Govan and West will discuss this new partnership and the evolving, increasingly collaborative approach of museums in the 21st century.
Please note that this event will be held in LACMA's Bing Theater. See maps and directions.
