About the Event
On the big screen outdoors! A summer-long celebration of movies, food, and music, L.A. Times’ Eat See Hear, presented by SHOWTIME®, is LA’s original traveling outdoor movie series going to rotating venues around the city featuring a wide mix of classic movies, live music and yummy food.
Celebrating LA Pride, we present a special screening of The Birdcage. A gay cabaret owner and his drag queen companion agree to put up a false, straight front so that their son can introduce them to his fiancée's conservative, moralistic parents.
EAT: The Border Grill Truck, Coolhaus, Serendoggity, Dina’s Dumplings, Vivi’s Gourmet Cuisine
SEE: The Birdcage
HEAR: Lucy & La Mer
Directed by Mike Nichols | Starring Robin Williams, Gene Hackman, Nathan Lane, and Dianne Wiest | Written by Elaine May | Rated R | 1 hour 58 minutes
During select weekend nights this spring and summer, bring a picnic blanket and head over to the Autry lawn to watch your favorite movies projected on the biggest screen. Some of the city’s tastiest food trucks and local bands will be on hand—plus every event is dog friendly. Select museum galleries will be open before each screening. Eat|See|Hear is among the Autry’s partners presenting films on the lawn. For more information and ticket sales, visit eatseehear.com.
