About the Event

See a sneak preview of a recent donation to the Autry’s firearms collection: the Olson Family Collection of Deringer pistols. The collection will be installed in the Autry’s galleries summer 2019 in association with our Gold at the [Au]try project. Four of the five authorized Deringer dealers in San Francisco are represented in the Olson collection, alongside other examples of the pocket pistol’s nineteenth-century heyday.
Donors Al and Carol Ann Olson will be on hand with Josh Garrett-Davis, The Autry's Gamble Associate Curator of Western History, Popular Culture, and Firearms, to discuss this collection.
