About the Event

Political relationships in Native North America transformed as new peoples and economic goods moved between the colonized coasts and the indigenous interior. Join Joshua Reid (Snohomish), author of The Sea is My Country: The Maritime World of the Makahs, David J. Silverman, author of the newly published book Thundersticks: Firearms and the Violent Transformation of Native America and Natale Zappia, author of Traders and Raiders: The Indigenous World of the Colorado Basin, 1540-1859, for a discussion about the evolution of these relationships among tribal nations and with colonial outsiders. A book signing will follow the program.
