About the Event

Lacrosse originated with the Iroquois but, for a time, they were unable to compete internationally due to a lack of recognition of Iroquois Nation sovereignty. This documentary film charts the athletic, cultural, and personal challenges and triumphs that members of the Iroquois Nationals team experience during their return to the world stage. Introduction by W. Richard West, Jr., Autry President and CEO. Directors Peter Spirer, Peter Baxter, and Executive Producers Chief Oren Lyons (Faithkeeper, and member of the Council of Chiefs, Onondaga Nation, Iroquois Confederacy) and Gayle Kelley will participate in a Q&A after the film, with dessert reception to follow.
