About the Event

Learn more about the Autry's collections in an engaging way! Our docents will lead you through an exploration of stories found within the Autry's vast exhibitions. The tour will start in the Museum Lobby at 11:00 am.

Which animals call the American West home? On this focus tour, visitors will learn about some of the diverse animals that can be found in the American West, explore the ways in which artists have celebrated animals through art, and discovery how important animals are to the West. You might even see your favorite animal in one of the galleries!

Land Acknowledgment

The Autry Museum of American West acknowledges the Gabrielino/Tongva peoples as the traditional land caretakers of Tovaangar (the Los Angeles basin and So. Channel Islands). We recognize that the Autry Museum and its campuses are located on the traditional lands of Gabrielino/Tongva peoples and we pay our respects to the Honuukvetam (Ancestors), ‘Ahiihirom (Elders) and ‘Eyoohiinkem (our relatives/relations) past, present and emerging.
