About the Event

During the last six months of Harry Fonseca’s life, Patsy Phillips (Cherokee), Director of the Museum of Contemporary Native Art, called him each weekend to discuss life and art. Phillips will join Nancy Mithlo (Chiricahua Apache), Professor of Gender Studies and Faculty Advisory Committee for American Indian Studies UCLA, for an intimate reflection on Fonseca work as a contemporary Native artist. The conversation is something not be missed as both women were lucky to consider Fonseca both a contemporary master, and friend.
