About the Event

Celebrate the art, architecture, and history of the Arroyo Seco area! This free community day is presented in partnership with the Gamble House, Heritage Square Museum, the Los Angeles Police Museum, the Lummis Home, and the Pasadena Museum of History. For details, visit MuseumsoftheArroyo.com.
MOTA Day visitors can view two ongoing exhibitions. Four Centuries of Pueblo Pottery features 100 rare ceramics made by the Pueblo people of Arizona and New Mexico. On the lower level, Making A Big Noise: The Explorations of Charles Lummis reveals stories about the site’s founder and his journeys. Kids can enjoy arts and crafts activities presented by the Arroyo Arts Collective. Guests can also explore the community garden, which offers a commanding view of the Arroyo.

Please note: The Autry's Mt. Washington campus (NOT the Griffith Park campus) is part of Museums of the Arroyo Day. The Mt. Washington campus is located at 234 Museum Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90065.
