About the Event

Join basketweaver Delia ‘Dee’ Dominguez (Kitanemuk & Yowlumne Tejon Indians) as she shares her handmade basket caps in the Autry’s garden. Made from local southern California plant materials, Dominguez will highlight the importance of the native plants and techniques used to create basket caps. After, see more examples of basket hats and caps in the museum's Human Nature gallery.
