Conjunto Costazul, founded by Newyorican brothers Freddie and Johnny Crespo, is considered one of the finest salsa orchestras in Southern California. The Crespo brothers are singers and percussionists who during the proliferation of salsa in the 70s developed their musical talents in New York's Spanish Harlem, and performed with renowned salsa orchestras of the time. In 2010, Conjunto Costazul celebrates its 21st anniversary, moving forward with its unique, swinging sound and continuing to delight new generations of salseros.
