Virginia Scharff, Autry Chair of Western Women’s History, will look at milestones in the Autry’s presentation of women in history throughout its 25 years and how the study of women’s history has developed in that time. This lecture kicks off the new Women of the West series and launches the inaugural Jackie Autry and Joanne Hale Forum, named to honor the founders of the Autry Museum for their contributions to the study of western women’s history.
Followed by a reception and book signing in the museum lobby.
