Join us for a fascinating conversation on the friendship between Oscar Wilde and Buffalo Bill Cody, featuring Joseph Bristow and Jeremy Johnston, with an introduction by Out West creator and scholar Gregory Hinton.

Joseph Bristow is a professor at the UCLA English Department where he teaches a range of courses in Victorian and modern literature, as well as in theories and histories of sexuality.  His book Wilde Discoveries: Traditions, Histories, Archives, is scheduled for publication in May of 2013.

Jeremy Johnston is the managing editor of the William F. Cody Papers at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming. The Archive documents Cody’s interactions with individuals ranging from statesmen and royalty to noted military and literary figures who sought his opinions on policy questions concerning the American West.
