Drum in the beginning of summer at the Autry! Learn the symbolic and cultural significance of drums in this multicultural, interactive presentation and workshop. Families will make their own drumming instrument and participate in the community drum circle as the sun sets and we welcome the summer solstice in Griffith Park.

Interactive performance with Adrian Yazzie (Navajo), Danza Azteca Xocoyote (Mexican Indigenous), Ava Nahas (Israeli/Middle Eastern), and the Jung Im Lee Korean Dance Academy

7:45 p.m.

Community drum circle finale

The museum galleries and store will be open on June 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and the Autry’s cafe, Crossroads West, will remain open until 8:00 p.m.


Admission

Adults: $10 / Students w/ ID and Seniors (60+): $6 Children (3–12): $4 / Autry members, active military, veterans, peace officers, and children under 3: Free
