In honor of Veteran’s Day, get a glimpse of one of our most unique archive collections, Index File to Military Records of Spanish and Mexican Soldiers in California, documenting the careers of Spanish and Mexican military personnel serving in California between 1769 and 1840. Included in this collection is information about the career of Corporal Jose Vicente Feliz, who was granted the land known as Rancho Los Feliz, including what is now Griffith Park, in the early nineteenth century.
