The Autry celebrates this Mexican tradition in which children portray Mary and Joseph seeking shelter in Bethlehem as baby Jesus is about to be born, while innkeepers urge them in song to move on. The evening features dances by Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Company,  performances by Harmonies Girls Choir, and more.

The audience joins in this interactive celebration to learn cantos de las posadas (songs of las posadas). Grandeza Mexicana and Harmonies Girls Choir will perform La Pastorela, a comic play that depicts—through music, humor, and dance—the pilgrimage of the shepherds who travel to Bethlehem. After the performance, hot chocolate and Mexican sweet bread will be served for everyone to enjoy.
