Beyond the Horizon Line: The Work of Tony Foster
Join us for an illuminating talk with British artist Tony Foster, the internationally recognized watercolorist whose work is featured in Maverick Art and whose dynamic style of exploration/artistry harkens back to the work of Thomas Moran and others. Mr. Foster will share thoughts on his latest book Painting at the Edge of the World: the Watercolors of Tony Foster. There will be a brief reception and book-signing to follow.

Thursday, December 4
7:00-9:00pm in the Wells Fargo Theater.
Maverick Art Spotlight: Art of the Streets
What makes this genre, once seen only as a nuisance, an art form? Often thought of as controversial and sometimes even as vandalism, graffiti art has always tested the boundaries of what is possible. Join us for a provocative panel discussion on this often misunderstood form and celebrate the work of acclaimed artists Man One and Chaz Bojorquez, both of whom will discuss the techniques that separate everyday taggers from true graffiti artists. Join us for an engaging discussion on the value of art, an impromptu art-making demonstration, and then stay for a brief artists' reception to follow.
