Ned Mueller

Born in Wisconsin and raised in Montana, Ned Mueller has been drawing and painting for more than sixty years. An accomplished and highly respected artist and a graduate of the prestigious Art Center School of Design in Los Angeles, he has participated in many of the major invitational shows in the country, including the Artists of America Show, Great American Artists Show, the Prix de West, Oil Painters of America, Pastel Society of America, the Northwest Rendezvous Show, and the annual Plein Air Painters of America exhibition. His work is shown in some of the finest galleries in the country, has won numerous awards, and is included in many private fine art collections.

Mueller is a Signature Member of the Oil Painters of America, Plein Air Painters of America, California Art Club, Northwest Pastel Society, Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters, Northwest Rendezvous Group, and the American Society of Marine Artists. He has been designated a Masters Artist by the Oil Painters of America, and 2013 marks his first appearance at the Masters of the American West Fine Art Exhibition and Sale

Mueller continues to challenge himself to grow artistically and is asked to jury regional and national art shows. He loves to teach and share his many years of knowledge and experience and is in demand to teach classes and workshops both nationally and internationally.

  • This studio painting was created from a study made during a recent month-long painting trip to England. Four of us rented a cottage in Mevagissey, a wonderful harbor village on the southern coast of Cornwall. The thirty-foot tides leave the colorful and eclectic collection of boats high and dry in a grand array of fascinating compositions.
