Experience a series of panoramic photographs by the Autry’s first Theo Westenberger Award for Artistic Excellence winner, Karen Halverson. Halverson’s approach to Western landscapes old and new—from the Great Basin to Mulholland Drive—draws upon historic photographic surveys while also integrating evidence of how these places have been used and altered over time. Expansive yet questioning, Halverson’s work both honors traditional photographic approaches to Western lands while examining the impact of those same visual constructions.
