About the Event

Squeeze the last drops out of summer with a free, all-ages KCRW Summer Nights party with the Autry Museum of the American West. Hit the dance floor with a special vinyl guest DJ set from Wooden Wisdom, the DJ duo of Elijah Wood and Zach Cowie, and sets from KCRW DJs SiLVA & Alejandro Cohen. Explore the museum after hours, including Life, Liberty, and Los Angeles, a special exhibit exploring the stories of diverse Angelenos and the contradictions of the nation’s founding principles. Then, refuel with food and drinks as the party keeps going under the night sky.

About Wooden Wisdom

Wooden Wisdom are a DJ duo featuring actor Elijah Wood and music supervisor Zach Cowie. They met at a party hosted by fashion designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy and bonded over their love for records. Elijah, known for his roles in "The Lord of the Rings" and "Wilfred," brings his passion for music, while Zach, with his deep knowledge, compliments him perfectly. Together, they spin an eclectic mix of sounds from, from acid rock to African funk, creating unforgettable experiences for their audiences. Wooden Wisdom has toured globally, captivating crowds at various venues and festivals. Their sets are a sonic journey, showcasing their vast vinyl collections and ability to blend diverse musical styles seamlessly.
