The Mexican Revolution of 1910 was the first, the bloodiest, and the most life-changing revolution of the Americas in the 20th century. It lasted for 10 years (1910—1920), took the lives of an estimated 250,000 combatants and 1.25 million civilians, and affected every person in every corner of Mexico. It changed the relationship between women and men, rich and poor, and landowners and landless. It created concepts of liberty, democracy, and social reform that strongly persist today.
